You're implying that women don't like looking at shirtless (or even naked) men, with the 'gay' comment. And there are heterosexual men who aren't so flustered by seeing shirtless men. :/
And I'm certain people have been drawing suggestive things of certain male characters for a while. They just didn't have such an easy way to broadcast them. I doubt doing suggestive and sexualized images of men is THAT recent. Just not as prevalent at the suggestive and sexualized images of women.
And by the way, I'm not sure why you think this drawing is 'gay'. Straight or bi women can enjoy shirtless men too. That's pretty fucking heterosexual if you ask me. Straight men can enjoy shirtless men if they're not insecure in their own sexuality.
I'm sorry you aren't secure enough in your sexuality or 'masculinity' to be able to look at a drawing of a shirtless man without being bothered by it. Nobody cares if you don't like shirtless men, nobody's forcing you to look at shirtless men or drawings of shirtless men. Let everybody else enjoy the piece and move on, because you certainly wouldn't be complaining if it was a topless woman.
